Position Summary:
The Technologist in General Radiology recognizes safety as a priority for Diagnostic Imaging Services, as each of us plays an integral part to building a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Manager, Diagnostic Imaging Services and under the supervision of the Charge Technologist, the Technologist General Radiology will be responsible for (a) maintaining the safe operation of equipment; (b) upholding all policies and procedures of the department and the organization; (c) providing safe, quality care and services to our patients; and, (d) participating in quality and safety initiatives.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited training program in Radiological Technology
- Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO)
- Knowledge of clinical CMRTO Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
- Must show evidence of clinical competence through continuing education
Skills and Abilities:
- Effective communication and team building skills
- Desire to learn and collaborate within a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate and interact effectively and positively with patients, physicians and co-workers.
- Good attendance and availability required
