Brockville General Hospital is a 138 bed, community hospital, serving a referral area of 125,000. BGH offers fullacute care services in addition to restorative / rehaband palliative care. The City of Brockville (pop. 22,000) is located 85 km east of Kingston, Ontario, in the beautiful Thousand Islands region. The perfect place to practiceand play.
Practice Profile
- Community based consultative practice
- Provision of clinical support for Emergency Department and Hospitalist program.
- Remuneration is Fee for Service
- Opportunity for academic appointment /participation in post graduate education (Queen’s University affiliate)
- Opportunity to participate in and develop specialty out-patient clinics
Hospital Resources / Volume of Service
- 4000+ Admissions annually
- 30,000 ER visits annually
- 9 Bed, Level 3, Closed Model ICU, staffed by Critical Care Specialists (avg.900 admissions annually)
- Stress testing / Cardiac Echo / PFT Lab / Stroke Prevention & Cardiac Rehab programs
- Electronic Health Record (Quadramed)
- PACs / CT
- Full complement of specialty support available locally
- Tertiary care services 1 hour away in Kingston and Ottawa
Qualifications
- FRCPC (Internal Medicine ) with or without subspecialty
- Independent registration with (eligible for) the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
